This restaurant had been recommended by a relative so we took the drive to Doyestown and found the food subpar. We were told by the waitress that the pasta was homemade, then told by a waiter that, no, it comes from a box. Also, it was very obvious that my pork roast had been frozen and microwaved. Very disappointing.

SUNDAY BREAKFAST WAS WONDERFUL. THEIR FRENCH TOAST WAS THE BEST I EVER HAD. THE STAFF WAS VERY ATTENTIVE AND FRIENDLY. THIS RESTAURANT IS THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN DOYLESTOWN.

A great place to go, especially if you appreciate the beauty of a small-town restaurnt. Great Seasonal specials and delicious Italian, the atmosphere is very homey and welcoming.
From LT of Chalfont (05/23/07)
Dined with a friend one friday evening. Food was delicious. I agree that its noisy and tables are close together, but we very much enjoyed our experience. The staff was friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back.
From Jim G of Doylestown (12/03/06)

From Shari of Milford (11/24/06)
We ate at Domani Star last year while waiting to attend a concert. It was so loud and the tables were so close that although the food was "ok" (not great) it is not worth a second visit this year. We'll try other restaurants in Doylestown before ever returning here. The service was also, just "OK."
From MK of Doylestown (08/26/06)
Small, busy and loud. BUT, the food is good. Steak was delicious, and the pimento in gorgonzola cheese app is our favorite. The homemade chocolate pudding for dessert was decadent. Its a BYOB, so bring your favorite Cab and enjoy.
From michael of jamison (07/08/06)
Great spot , yes it is noisy and table placement can be close , the food is VERY fresh, authentic and delecious , not another red sauce spaghetti joint BYOB is great for us .Try the polenta appetizer , quite unique
From ps of north wales (05/24/06)
The food is great, but the restaurant is very noisy! I had dinner recently with a friend and we had to shout at each other to be heard. We asked for a quieter table but was told they were all noisy!!!!
From T.J. of Doylestown (05/09/06)
I was so disapointed to finally receive my meal one not very busy afternoon whilst dining with my son. My son is under the age of ten so it was a LOOONG wait. Only to find a meager serving that was not bad but definately not worth the wait. I felt very expensive for what I got.
From Karen of North Wales (03/28/06)
I loved their food, but my dining companion and I found the restaurant so noisy that we had to shout at each other to be heard. We asked for a quieter table but were told they were all noisy. Oh well, guess we won't be returning.
From Phil of Doylestown (03/16/06)
This is a terrific place. Casual setting but seriously good food, and excellent service. Always buzzing, so get reservations for weekends. Smallish but very pleasant. Some great flavors coming out of the visible kitchen--love the polenta appetizer, and never had a bad soup. Entrees are generous. (You might not think "beef" in an Italian place, but theirs is wonderful.) Best testament: it's almost always crowded.
From Lisa of Doylestown (01/21/06)
Unlike the other reviewers, I had a terrible experience here from a service perspective. I was served a dish that was entirely not what I expected despite the fact that it's a traditional Italian dish, but said nothing and had no intention of saying anything. When the server/hostess asked how I liked the meal, I admitted that it wasn't what I expected. Her response was, "Well, you certainly ate enough of it!" Despite the fact that I live within walking distance and eat out regularly, I will not return. It's the first time I've ever balked at the prospect of tipping. Very rude.
From GR of Doylestown (12/11/05)
Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! The food is consistently out of this world. The owner and staff are courteous and kind. It's a place where you can take family, friends, children and business colleagues and you'll always be pleased!
From Patrick of Doylestown (11/09/05)
Had a few great experiences here. Food and service are very highly rated. Passing by you would not think to bring children in to Domani Star but they treat families so well that you would think each host and waiter/waitress is one of the owners. Meatballs, fantastic!
From Gina Furia Rubel of Doylestown (09/19/05)
Domani Star is fantastic! They serve authentic and rustic Italian delights that my grandmother used to make - and they're perfect every time. I especially like the way they treat families and children . . . with respect and attention. It's a little taste and experience of Italy every time we walk in the door.
From heather of bristol (09/16/05)
I've eaten at Domani Star twice now. Once in the restaurant sitting at the little bar and today I got soup to go. What a great spot. When I dined in I had a pan fried tilapia that was very crisp but also very light, not heavily oiled. Just delicious. Today I planned on their roasted red pepper soup to bring back to my desk. Alas, the crowd eating in today had devoured it all. I had tomato vegetable instead. As I sit here enjoying my soup, I'm thinking how much I like Domani Star and what a gentleman seems to keep things running there at the front desk. I can only assume he's the owner as he takes such pride in his establishment. And rightly so.
From Teri Michaels of doylestown (09/07/05)
Absolutley fabulous! We have been here many times - have never had a bad meal or bad service. Best bring your own in the area!
