Are you looking for the perfect pet?  With our new Pet Adoption Directory, you can search local pet shelters and rescue organizations for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, small furry creatures and even horses. We hope you can give these deserving animals a home.

Christa - Labrador Retriever, Black Mouth Cur (Mix)
After Christa arrived from the shelter, it was discovered that she was suffering from untreated hind-leg and pelvic injuries (probably hit by a car). The damage can be repaired with orthopedic surgery, and she should be good as new once she heals. The surgery is very expensive, but this puppy is such a sweetheart that we feel she deserves to live a pain-free life. Any donations toward Christa's medical expenses would be a tremendous help; if you prefer to donate directly to her veterinary hospital account, please contact us and we can tell you how to do that. Look at that proud pose and noble expression -- Christa might have been stuck in a shelter, but she didn't let that get her down! This girl has a positive attitude toward life, and she knows that there's a special someone waiting out there just for her -- could that someone be you?

Socrates - Domestic Medium Hair - Black and White
Socrates was left in the shelter's driveway in the rain. He was accompanied by a note, "Please find a good home for him - he is a love. My child is allergic." The veterinarian believes that he is 4 or 5 and in good health. He tested negative for fiv/felv and has received all his shots. After going through his 'loss and grief period' of missing his family, he is now 'right at home'. He just wants to cuddle and be loved. He is very special.
